Turnings of Art

Something for every taste

Art’s mission in woodturning is to make it enjoyable, safe and
productive for every level of skill. He warns all new students
that turning can become addictive!

About The Turner image
Art was born and grew up in Indiana, Pennsylvania learning about construction working with his father. During the ensuing years he built many projects in the various homes where he and his family lived in and for others. In 1990 he bartered a manual check protector for a lathe and the journey began. While living in Lakeland he joined the Polk County Woodturners. After moving back to Pinellas County, he was a charter member of the Suncoast Woodturners and later joined the Tri-County Woodturners where he was President for three years
Art presents a variety of turning demonstrations for area chapters and tutors when time is available. In 2016 he became the turning instructor for the Dunedin Fine Art Center where he teaches several levels of students.
